ROSS COUNTY, OH Focusing on economic development in the four-county region, Fluor BWXT (FBP) recently provided grants to support the growth of small businesses. The Ross County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Ohio University (OU), used the funds provided by FBP to conduct a business pitch competition entitled, Ignite Appalachia.
Small businesses are the heart of our community and what better way to help them grow than to support them both monetarily and educationally, said Wendi Bennett, Small Business Resource Navigator with the Ross County Chamber of Commerce. We are thrilled to have the support of Fluor-BWXT as we bring the inaugural business pitch competition, developed by the Kricker Innovation Hub and the Womens Business Centers of Central Appalachia, to Ross County
